How do you make an impact when you’re just starting out? You focus on your local community and do what you can!
.
Giving to others in need has always been at the core of me. From painting schools in Haiti, playing games with teens at youth shelters, filling sandbags for flood prevention, and now prepping and serving food for homeless families. You just have to give.
.
I wanted this to be part of my company’s mission too! After doing some research and chatting with my local homeless shelter it became apparent that deodorant is commonly overlooked as something homeless families need. Nobody wants to smell bad - especially when an adult goes on a job interview or a child is trying to fit in at school. So here I am - making my first organic deodorant donation to the shelter where I volunteer.
.
If you don’t incorporate social impact at the start of your business you’re less likely to do it down the road. I look forward to continuing this mission as my company grows!
